Mariel Pitti

Mariel Pitti, a Newfane sculptor creates ceramic art, mixed media constructions and encaustic paintings. “My work is rooted in evolution and new applications for used materials. I notice the potential in all materials, whether discarded or new as a means to mark and express my journey.”

Her current work investigates the human condition. Using the figure in clay, encaustics and drawings, Mariel’s challenge is to engage the viewer in contemplation about their sense of place.

Mariel Pitti received her B.F.A. from Green Mountain College in 2001.
